Join us for a special performance of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" to support your local Democratic candidates in 2010! Reception in the lobby before showtime.
When: Wednesday, July 14th, 2010
Where: The Pentacle is just north of Hwy 22 at 324 52nd Ave. NW, Salem
Tickets: $20 per person (open seating)
Time: 6:30pm - Doors open – Join us for light refreshments downstairs in the lobby, including pie from Willamette Valley Fruit Company. Local candidates will be on hand to meet you! 7:30pm Curtain time
The Play: "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" – based on the award-winning novel by Ken Kesey … A witty, electrifying drama about a misbehaved con, R.P. McMurphy, who finds himself in an asylum after faking insanity to get out of work detail in prison. The vivacious troublemaker soon finds himself in a worse kind of prison – one presided over by the repressed, terrifyingly quiet Nurse Ratched. McMurphy reaches out to his new inmates, desperately to bring life to an otherwise dead atmosphere. However, Ratched sees McMurphy's free spirit as even more dangerous than a schizophrenic impulse.
